Getting involved with your AFRIAMSLIC association doesn’t have to mean making a huge time commitment. You can always contribute at any level:
a. Subscribe to AFRIAMSLIC listserv: Use our mailing list Afriamslic@lists.iamslic.org to request interlibrary loans, share information, provide announcements of news, activities & opportunities of interest to AFRIAMSLIC members or to present an idea for a program or services to provide, give feedback on an upcoming change and express your thought of a recent event, or also share your own experience.
b. Use Social Media: Join our Facebook group https://www.facebook.com/groups/AFRIAMSLIC read posts to stay up to date on our field and on our association, write your own thoughtful responses in the comment box. You can also join our Skype & WhatsApp groups for volunteer committees and teams which are used for a real-time exchange of information.
c. Vote: every 2 years we hold elections for board members and committee leaders. By voting for the most qualified candidate-a representative who can help make decisions that will benefit you and all members, you protect the future of your association.
d. Run for a position: Contact us about running for a leadership post or head of team and express your interest in serving as AFRIAMSLIC officers or board members
e. Volunteer and join an AFRIAMSLIC Committee: Browse through this website for groups you’d like to work with, then contact the leader of the committee and ask how to get involved.
