The 48th IAMSLIC Annual Conference and 4th Latin American Regional Group Meeting will be held on 18-21 October 2022. This HYBRID conference will be both in-person at DINARA-Dirección Nacional de Recursos Acuáticos in Montevideo, Uruguay and will be streamed virtually. All recorded sessions will be made available for participants.

The Conference Program Committee invites submission of proposals to present at this hybrid conference, either in person in Uruguay, or remotely. The IAMSLIC 2022 conference theme is “From Streams to Oceans: Libraries Informing Sustainability of Aquatic Resources.” IAMSLIC2022 welcomes proposals that highlight:
- Data Science and Data Analytics (Visual Literacy, Research Data Management, Artificial Intelligence)
- Ethics of Data Sharing (Open Access, Intellectual Property, Value of Sharing Data)
- Ocean and Climate Change Literacy (Pollution, Other Issues)
- Library Administration and Leadership (Pandemic, Natural Disasters, Future of Libraries, Professional Development, Mentoring, Collaborations)
- Sustainable Development Goals - Support Initiatives
- Information Literacy (Education and Training)
- Publishing and Publishers (Transformative Agreements, Predatory Journals, Peer Review Process, Curating Pre-prints and Post-prints).

At this point, you do not need to be certain whether you can be present in person at the meeting or will attend virtually. However, to ensure a successful hybrid experience, IAMSLIC strives towards a minimum of 50/50 in-person vs. online presentation, or higher in-person. We acknowledge that situations might change and that some people who intend to attend in person may need to switch due to unforeseen circumstances. As a presenter, you can indicate in the online conference proposal submission form which setting (in-person or virtual) you prefer.
