Welcome to the 51st Annual Conference and 50th Anniversary of the International Association of Aquatic and Marine Science Libraries and Information Centers (IAMSLIC), also including the 35th Annual SAIL Regional Meeting. The conference will be hosted in-person and virtually by the Marine Biological Laboratory Library at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute and the SAIL Regional Group in Woods Hole, MA, USA from October 5-10, 2025.
Our theme this year is “Full Circle.” Fifty years ago, IAMSLIC was born out of a desire for marine science librarians to come together and share their knowledge. That first meeting has grown into a vital organization that spans the globe. This is a great time for not only reflection of what we have done and where we have been but a look to the future.
Our program will feature invited guests from WHOI and the SAIL region, presentations from members of IAMSLIC from around the globe and asynchronous content that will highlight the region, climate, terrain, people and waters. We welcome presentations, activities, workshops, posters and panels that explore the vital part we play in the work we are doing, supporting and fostering.
