INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA

Dear PISA 2025 Participants,
We wish to inform you that during the PISA2025 Conference, which will take place in Pisa on 7-9 May 2025 at Area della Ricerca di Pisa, photographs and audio recordings will be taken for informational and dissemination purposes.
Therefore, pursuant to Regulation (EU)
2016/679 on the protection of personal data, we provide the following
information:
Data Controller
The Data Controller is the National Research Council, represented within its internal structure by the Director of the Institute of Information Science and Technologies "A. Faedo", who can be contacted at the e-mail address: direttore@isti.cnr.it

Purposes of Processing and Legal Basis
According to the legislation, the processing of personal data will be based on the principles of correctness, lawfulness, and transparency and the protection of your privacyand your rights.
For the aforementioned purposes, the legal basis for processing are the pursuit of public interest related to the realization of the scientific research purpose and the consent to processing, pursuant to Article 6, letter a) e letter e) of the GDPR.
Methods and Duration of Processing
Processing is carried out using electronic tools by authorized personnel. In relation to this processing, CNR-ISTI has adopted adequate security measures to guarantee the integrity and confidentiality of the data.
Recordings will be made using specific equipment located in the premises where the event takes place. The audio file will be transferred by the Organizing Team to a dedicated disk space on a file server at CNR-ISTI immediately after the event, to facilitate the transcription of participants' speeches.
The audio recording will be kept until the transcription is completed, which will take place within one month of the event. After that, the Organizing Team will promptly delete it.
The transcription of the recordings and the acquired images will be stored in the archives of CNR-ISTI and may be used for scientific and dissemination purposes. The photos may be published on the conference website and on social media channels.
Rights of the Data Subject
You have the right, at any time, to ask the Data Controller for access to your personal data and to rectify or erase it, or to limit the processing concerning you, or to object to the processing, in accordance with Articles 15 to 22 of EU Regulation 2016/679.
You can exercise these rights by submitting a request to the Data Controller at the e-mail address indicated above.
Furthermore, if the conditions are met, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Garante della privacy) as the supervisory authority (https://www.garanteprivacy.it).
The use of images and audio recordings is to be considered completely free of charge and entirely correct. Under no circumstances will audio be used that prejudices the honor, reputation, and decorum of the person, pursuant to Article 97 of Law No. 633/41 and Article 10 of the Civil Code. Any use for profit and transfer to third parties.
We will ask you for your consent to transcribe the recordings and use the images, specified above, directly on the morning of the conference.
This release has unlimited validity
